One Lucky Woman Survives Attack from Husband

Conscious co-parenting – from the eyes of a 19 year old (Child of divorce)

Serving divorce papers is a difficult experience, but for some people it is extremely dangerous. While rare, people have been known to snap after getting served divorce papers. Their identity may be wrapped up so much into their marriage that they can’t handle the fact it is ending.

One woman in Wyoming is very lucky after her husband attacked her after serving papers. A restraining order was also served. The day after she served notice, the man allegedly came to her home with a hatchet. He cut the telephone wires, broke into the home, and hit the woman in the head with the intent to kill.

He must have had a change of heart after hitting her because he drove her to a nearby hospital. She suffered a depressed skull fracture and a subdural hematoma. The man has allegedly confessed to the crime and has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. The woman is expected to make a full recovery.

We must stress that such cases are very rare. You should never let fear keep you from leaving an abusive or dangerous relationship. Take action.
