Colleen Clay is an associate attorney at Elise Buie Family Law. She comes to us with experience in family law and estate planning and is a certified mediator.
Colleen was drawn to family law when she began noticing how much seeing friends and family fight in their personal relationships would impact her. She realized how debilitating conflict in your personal life can be, and it made her appreciate that in family law, she has the responsibility of dealing with the most precious and valued aspects of a person’s life.
Working with family law clients is a responsibility Colleen does not take lightly.
Philosophy and Background
Colleen is dedicated to bringing an extra level of comfort and support to her clients to make a very stressful time in their lives and the lives of their families easier. She finds that balancing a calming personality with the tenaciousness needed to bring about a positive result in the long run for her clients and their families really is an art.
Colleen holds a B.A. in the philosophy of law and society from the University of Colorado Boulder and a J.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Role in the Seattle Community
In her free time, Colleen enjoys taking a workout class, cooking up a new recipe, or going to see a play with her significant other.
